Farming at St. Joseph Organic farm

St. Joseph Organic Farm is an out reach program of the Society of Mangalore Africa Miasson. The SMAM is desirous to develop a Rural Agricultural Training Institute and to develop various need based projects on Practical Commercial Organic Agriculture training as proposed in Mwanga district area where Mangalore African Mission operates following the gapes in technology, adverse climatic condition for agricultural production. Tanzania is an agricultural dependent country with over 60% of the population depends on agriculture for a living. Currently we are focusing on Organic Live-stock keeping & Organic Field and Horticulture crops, also planning to start rural technology training program for the village youth and farmers.
