Easter Vigil 2019

Place: Immaculate Conception of Mary Parish, Kifaru

On 20th of Saturday the catholic faithful of Kifaru parish gathered to celebrate the fast of Easter the commemoration of the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. The Easter vigil started at 07.00pm with Easter hymns by parish choir, followed by the ceremony of blessing the fire. Parish Priest Rev Fr. Hilary Lobo celebrated the Holy Eucharist, Rev. Fr. Alwyn M. J. D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues and Rev. Fr. George Crasta, were the concelebrants.

In the Homily Fr. Joseph spoke about the resurrection the defeat of death by Lord Jesus. He called everyone to defeat the sin in their life and resurrect with the Lord. Parish council members executed day’s liturgy, parish choir members sang melodious hymns. During this occasion three adult members were welcomed to Catholic Church through the sacrament of baptism.
